Spring has officially sprung!

Manly Jazz Festival is back over the October long weekend (30th September – 2nd October 2017) and surrounding dates with performances in multiple indoor and outdoor venues including major stages alongside Manly beach. The internationally acclaimed Manly Jazz is known worldwide for its beautiful location and diversity of music, from traditional New Orleans jazz to funk, latin, fusion, blues, gospel, swing and roots. It is a celebration of sound and music, so come down to Manly beach over the Labour Day weekend to enjoy some good tunes. Not only that, it is also a weekend of celebration of Australia’s beach lifestyle, delicious food, good memories and especially the beautiful Manly vibe. 2The Boathouse: Shelly Beach

Hidden around the bend of Manly Beach, The Boathouse proves to be a local favourite with a kiosk, cafe and restaurant in one stunning location. The perfect spot for brunches and aesthetic Instagram photos, you’ve got delicious options including autumn ravioli of duck, or settle down with the famous Boathouse beer-battered flathead. The venue is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a 10% surcharge on all menu items on Sunday and public holidays.

Sugarfish

An extension to Garfish’s amazing location, Sugarfish is a mini venue flowing out on the deck. With a special brand revamp by Spicy Broccoli Media, Sugarfish offers a lively beverage menu overlooking the stunning Manly Cove. Specialising in share platters and a sophisticated cocktail menu, relax and unwind with a glass of the Prosecco or Aperol spritz. It is also a perfect combination for a quick lunch (and also a drink) in the heart of Manly.

Papi Chulo

Manly residents have flocked to Papi Chulo to get a taste of Justin Hemme’s first northside restaurant. A mouthwatering mix of Asian, Southern American and Canadian influences, prepare your taste buds for a storm of sour, hot and spicy fun at this new beachside venue. An extremely kid-friendly location, distract your children with crispy curly fries as you devour into succulent seafood and smokehouse meats. A perfect laidback atmosphere for all ages, Papi Chulo is a place you must visit if you stay at Manly.

Daniel San

Daniel San plays a modern twist to Japanese street food- bringing fresh, unique fun to the table. Served alongside a spectacular beachside view, the eccentric decor and groovy tunes is the perfect location. A selection of juicy roasting Japanese skewers and fresh sashimi is just the beginning of this enticing menu. You’ve got $3 buns on Mondays, and $10 cocktails on Thursdays 6-8pm.  Large or small occasion, big appetite or just the need to nibble – relax and Daniel San will provide.

Fishmongers: Manly

It’s tucked away in Rialto Square but don’t let this pint size cafe fool you! This little location is a well known Manly favourite with it’s signature deep fried kumera that would delight a Tokyo tempura chef. Other menu items include mouthwatering fish tacos, perfectly grilled Tasmanian salmon and fresh Aussie prawns. Fishmongers is also a take-away venue, so get your food and settle down on the soft sand of Manly Beach in complete food bliss!

Fika Swedish Kitchen

The epitome of Nordic minimalism, Fika Swedish Kitchen has proven to be a favourite amongst Swedish expats. With a breakfast and lunch menu, you can get into the semolina porridge with caramelised apple. If you’re not a morning person, their lunch menu is transferred with sweet house made meatballs that are deliciously wrapped with juicy onions. An important mention is that their desserts are all house-made! We’re already drooling at their Instagram page.
